Such a wholesome setting where I truly felt safe to express and play.

The class is perfect as its small which allows for good time for actors to work on scenes. Very friendly, a great class for anyone new to drop in and exercise there craft.

I’ve been to several workshops with The Chamber, and always found them challenging and exciting. Razak is very good at introducing his deep understanding of Meisner to novices like myself, but he never gets caught up in the weeds or doctrinaire about it if another approach would be more helpful.

The scene work at The Chamber is always of a high standard- the material is rich, the atmosphere both encouraging and daring, and I’ve always found that Razak and the other attendees have a great wealth of knowledge and experience that enhances my own efforts.

Since starting classes with Razak at The Chamber in January, my craft, and my connection to it, has evolved and deepened in ways I could only have hoped for. Razak brings a rare combination of respect, patience, humility, and a deep presence to his guidance and his teaching. He creates a space that feels both grounded and electric, while also full of spontaneity: a place where you are invited to push past your limitations and truly explore what’s possible as an actor when focusing on the various Meisner techniques and scene work. His passion for the work is infectious, and his commitment to each individual student shines in every session. I have immense respect and admiration for Razak, both as an artist and as a teacher, and I feel grateful to be part of what he’s building with The Chamber as it’s a truly special environment that nurtures understanding, confidence and craft in equal measure.

I recently went to The Chamber after seeing a post in an acting group. All I knew was that it was a Meisner technique workshop, I was a very last-minute addition. When I arrived I was greeted by the amazing and talented Razak - someone I had the pleasure of working with when he was performing at none other than The Old Vic Theatre!
What followed was one of the most lively, freeing workshops. It instantly felt like home. I was surrounded by people who got it - who understood acting, who were passionate about the craft, about expression, about art, people, the world, current events.

The exercises were not only helpful in technique and craft but also fun to play with. What I loved most was that everyone had a voice. It felt like a true collaboration, everyone was invited to contribute, to explore, to try things, to be heard.
Razak leads with such humility. There’s no sense of hierarchy. It's not a “teacher lectures, students listen” kind of environment. It’s a space where everyone's individual expression matters and is valued. In such a natural way, like it would be with a good friend without judgement.

I truly believe everyone would benefit from attending these classes - even just to experience that sense of belonging, creativity, and empowerment.

The Chamber is a place where iron sharpens iron. Everyone is the room is so generous, caring deeply about the craft & each other. It's so encouraging to be in a space where you know you can grow.

The chamber is a place actors can come to play freely. We get to use tools we've learnt from outside or there on the day without fear of being judged. In a world where actors are expected to achieve other peoples vision, this place helps us achieve our own.

You come out better than when you went in even if it's by 1%.

Razak’s commitment to the craft and to the actors he works with makes The Chamber a truly special place to train. The class is a welcoming, focused space where actors are encouraged to grow, take risks, and dive deep into scene work. The small class size means each person gets real time to work, receives detailed feedback that is both challenging and supportive, and is pushed to step outside their comfort zone and level up their craft. I highly recommend The Chamber to actors who want a workshop where they can actively engage, participate and learn throughout.
